Beginning in 2008, History Making Productions set out to transform the experience of history by producing films and digital media that would be entertaining as well as informative and that would break new ground in public history.

Our growing Digital History Archive collects all of the media created by History Making Productions related to the 400+ year of history of Philadelphia. This includes each 25-minute episode of Philadelphia: The Great Experiment; dozens of shorter webisodes, and “Short Cut” interviews with historians, journalists, and witnesses to history; the 78-minute documentary Urban Trinity: The Story of Catholic Philadelphia and related webisodes; and Cecil’s People, on the Civil Rights-era of the 1960s.

You can download the archive as app, historyofphilly, through iTunes or Android.
